Prime Academy provides academic subject tutoring for students at international schools in Phnom Penh, alongside our English and Chinese language programmes. We work with students following the International Baccalaureate, IGCSE and Advanced Placement curricula, at both Standard and Higher Level.
Our academic tutoring is focused on Mathematics and the Sciences. We do not attempt to cover every IB subject — we teach the ones our tutors know well.
Support covers the full syllabus, internal assessment (the Maths Exploration), and past-paper technique for the final examinations.
Including internal assessment design and write-up, which is where most students lose marks unnecessarily.
What we do not cover. We do not teach IB Economics, Business Management, History, Psychology or the Language A subjects. If you need those, we would rather tell you now than take a booking we cannot serve well.
Every student begins with a placement assessment against their current syllabus, so we can see which topics are secure and which are not. Parents receive the result in writing before any lessons are booked.
One-to-one suits students working to a specific grade target or preparing an internal assessment. Small groups suit students who are broadly on track and need consistent reinforcement. Both are available at our centre on Koh Pich or online.
Several of our tutors teach in both English and Chinese. For students from Chinese-speaking families studying an English-medium curriculum, this removes a barrier that a monolingual tutor cannot address — a student who understands the physics but not the wording of the question needs a different kind of help.
Stage tests at intervals through the course, with a written report to parents. You should not have to guess whether tutoring is working.
Our centre is at 104 Koh Pich Street, around 300 metres from Canadian International School, and we work with students from international schools across Phnom Penh. Alongside subject tutoring we provide admissions consulting, interview coaching, and parent–teacher meeting interpretation for families where English is not the language spoken at home.
Book a free consultation. Tell us the subject, the level, and the timeframe. We will tell you honestly whether we can help.
